Beetles on my neck….

My mom and dad’s birthday fall one day after the other so since my sister was leaving the next day, we decided to take them out to dinner on day after mom’s birthday! We went to ‘Aaheli’, a beautiful restaurant serving authentic bengali cuisine in the most homely atmosphere.

The food was delicious like home-made food and the hospitality was superb.

So I was wore my black skinny jeans with my Vero Moda black blouse.

The detailing on the blouse is not visible so I took this picture from a website.

Fabulous India…

As we grow older, we develop a comfort zone in our wardrobe as well. You might find yourself going for the same type of clothes everyday the minute you open your closet.

And right now a lot of you are thinking T-shirt+Denim. Well, for me it happens to be the kurti+leggings/patiyala+dupatta(optional) combination. Its very clumsy for a lot of people but I find it to be very comfortable specially if I have to wear the entire day. I find it very difficult to wear denims in this hot & humid weather. Plus I love to dress it up in Indian accessories.

Well, that said, here are some shots of me wearing my favorite type of clothes on a usual work day…

Kurti – Tailored, Leggings – Shoppers Stop, Duppatta – Lucknow/U.P, Bag – FabIndia, Bangles – Thrifted, Watch – Guess, Necklace – Mango, Flat Sandals – Colaba/Mumbai

So my comfort zone is Fabulously Indian. What is your favorite type of clothing?

Always judge a book by the cover….

When we meet someone for the first time, we create an image, a personality of how that person might actually be. Its funny how sometimes you can be totally amazed at how different the person is from your own imagination. And that’s why we say “Never judge a book by its cover”

But don’t we all thrive to make ourselves presentable at all times and show off something that we don’t actually have. Haven’t we all, at any time, tried to win someone just by the way we look.

So, I think its time we have a new rule – “Always judge a book by its cover”

Lets see how this works…Here are a few of my pictures from a few days back.

My sister took these in our backyard.

Top – Kappahl, Jeans –  Kraus, Bag – Thrifted, Earrings – Thrifted

What does my photograph tell you about me? Am I a funny person or a loner?

We might see a lot of amusing results…..

This runs true for blogs as well. When I visit a new blog, there have been many times when I haven’t bothered to look through the pages because the header image wasn’t exciting or maybe the background was dull. There are so many reasons.

Speaking of blog layouts, even after a lot of changes, I am still pondering over my blog layout….any suggestions?
